Do you think it's worth it to start a meaningful relationship, knowing full well that it probably won't work out in the end?

People too often define "successful relationship" as "we get married and spend the rest of our lives together." By that standard, all your relationships are failures until the one you're in when you die.

I define success as one that brings happiness and meaning to my life for some period of time. It could be a month, it could be years. Either way, but that standard I've had many successful relationships and look forward to the new ones in my future.

Also, I've done my share of LDRs and don't recommend them, at least not monogamously.
